Baby Entertaining Center

So for the parents out there that don't want to spend tons of money on baby stuff, that really the baby only uses for a few months and then your left with this expensive toy, well I found a entertaining center that is only 49.99 at Target.  The Kolcraft Wonderbug activity center

I found the same one at Walmart for 79.99 but Walmart does price matching so if you just take the Target price in they will match it.  My little girl loves this thing and she is only 3 months old right now, she especially likes the butterfly thing with the wings cause it has the crinkle material.  It is at the lowest position in the pictures but it raises to adjust to their height and it also folds down to take when traveling.  I love this cause it's cheep and it has a lot of toys that make noise and the thing on the right side plays music and counts numbers.  I absolutely love love this!  I hope this was helpful for those moms that need to save money.

Divorced parents 5 Biggest Mistakes

I was watching Dr. Phil one day and wow this hit home big time, being from a divorced family, not wanting to do this to my child (which I am divorced,) and seeing my 2nd husband go through this with his ex-wife.  Why would anyone want to keep their child from the other parent or make the other parent seem like this awful person.  I wish everyone would look in the mirror and remember it takes two to ruin a marriage, yes the other may have done something really bad but what you should ask to yourself is What did I do wrong?.

1. Sabotaging your child's relationship with the other parent
So many parents when they get divorced look at the child as betraying them if they have a relationship with the other parent, there is no betray it's the child just wanting to love each parent and remember they are going through this huge change too, not just you.  The child doesn't no what happened between you two so keep it that way. When my daughter asks me why daddy and I aren't together anymore I simply say we just weren't right for each other but Daddy and his wife now love each other and they love you so much and they are better for each other.  Nothing bad on either part and making her no that sometimes things just weren't meant to be but that we both love her no matter what and so do her step parents.

2. Parents use their kids as pawn.
People use the kids against each other, like a game.  Why would they do this because they are pissed.  Both parents can do this which can lead to major problems later in their life, it's like the only thing either parent has to get back at the child.  It's a huge game and I wish people would leave the child out of it, not that there shouldn't be child support or other expenses taken care of but that it should be fair and just move on, it's not the childs fault.

3. Using your child to Gain Information or to Manipulate
Children are not to be interrogated to find out things, you want to know something then ask.  DO NOT BRING THE CHILD INTO THE DIVORCE.  If I need to know something I ask my ex simple as that or his parents when they have her because he's in the navy so sometimes they get her instead on his weekends.

4. Transferring Hurt Feelings and Frustrations onto Your Child
I know from my experience I did this because I was hurt and disappointed that I was getting divorced and that she would never have the mom/dad household.  I no my parents still talk about all the hurt and blame each other still after 20 some years later on things, just don't do it.

5. Treating your Child like an adult
I can remember times when I got thrown into an issue with my parents divorce and I was so confused cause I all I wanted to do was love each of them, I had no idea what the fighting was about but that I felt like it was my fault.  I have so many issues from the things that happened between them and it still bothers me they blame each other to this day, it's not my fault so stop expecting me to understand what happened.

I hope that many parents remember the kid is a kid, so let them be a kid.  I am not the perfect ex and I probably piss my ex off a lot and his new wife too but I try my hardest to not allow my daughter to know anything about what is going on with the situation or how I feel about things, that is what my counselor is for or my friends are for.  You may hate your ex and they may have done something really bad to hurt you but it doesn't mean that your child should hate the other parent too, nor should you want them to.  If they ask one day just tell them it didn't work out, we weren't right for each other and if you are having a hard time explaining to them then go to a counselor with them and hear what they have to say.   I hope that I will never use my child against my ex and I wouldn't, I hope my daughter has the best relationship with him as she can and that she knows his family to but that is because I let go and let god happen within me.

Baby and Gas

I breastfeed my daughter Danielle (3 months old) and recently her gas has become worse not sure if it's from using the bottle occasionally so that my husband and daughter can feed her.  I pump and use the best bottles ever and use gas drops but this week it's been bad.  My sister-in-law Liz told me to use a tummy wrap and it would help with the gas, instead of buying one in the magazine I used the rice heat wrap I already had.  Let me tell you it worked wonders, heated it up for 2 minutes and put it on her belly and Poof she was happy and farting up a storm.  I found a few websites that you can make your own instead of purchasing one but most wraps are no more than $30 online.  Here is a website that may help you make you own:

Curly, Wavy, Frizzy HAIR DILEMMA!

Now for the longest time I have had many flat irons, blow dryers, round brushes, and product to straighten my hair but nothing really seemed to work at home.  Straighten but give me bounce, ha, thought I could never achieve this at home on my own and remember I have been straightening my hair since I was 14 and I am 28 now.  I have found something that I love and that makes my hair shiny and beautiful.  My mom recently came to visit and brought with her the IN STYLER ROTATING HOT IRON.  Now my reviews on this, it does take longer than my blow dryer and flat iron but it makes it much shinier, more body, and it lasts longer so I just need to do a touch up if I want in the morning but I really didn't need to.  It is heavier than your probably use to but once you figure out how you like to hold it and use it, it is very easy to start straightening.  Be very careful when using this product as it is very HOTTTTTTT and can burn your skin, I have a few marks on my neck from the first time using it but that is because it takes a few times to get use to using a straightener.  Also when straightening people complained about it taking to long, well as any of you know when straightening your hair you must have your hair in sections and do it little by little for the best results.  I have read may reviews and most people love it, there were only a few who didn't like it or gave bad reviews.  I have two people I know that use it, my mom and friend Jenny and they both love it.  Also when using it dry your hair completely first with the blow dryer and put a little anti-frizz serum in it, I love John Frieda's frizz ease serum.

Where you can buy this product?  You can buy it from:
Target: $99.99
Walmart: Deluxe kit-$99.97 or Regular kit-$81.54
Bed, Bath, and Beyond: $99.99

But the best deal I have found is on QVC: $97.80
you get the iron, a stand for it, and the pad to put it on to while using it and also a bag for when you travel.  Yes you'll pay for shipping and handling but you can do easy pay, 5 payments for $19.56.  I love QVC and if anything happens to it or it breaks you can send it back and have it replaced.  Oh yeah and the best part too, it comes in purple or pink on QVC, unlike the stores it only comes in orange.

Small Spaces

I came across this website on facebook called, Ohdeedoh that helps people learn how to decorate a small space.  I love this site because my husband is in the Navy so moving to new homes, apartments, or base housing means that sometimes, no most of the time the living space is not very big.  They also have ideas to on how to make things out of stuff you already have. Baby Photos

My friend Leila is a photographer and she started taking baby pictures recently, so I asked her to take some of our new addition and she did such an amazing job.  Her prices are very good and the pictures were amazing.  Her website is: http://lcsphotography.smugmug.com/

Clothes while Nursing

So the adventures of Nursing has been great again but the clothes have been a pain for me, I am very large right now on the chest front wearing a 38 E or 38 F nursing bras from motherhood maternity, so finding tops that will work sucks.  I gave most of my maternity clothes away so I don't have the tops anymore but it wouldn't matter because most of them were long sleeve and it's summer now.  I have looked for tops everywhere and the selection at motherhood maternity sucks but the tank tops are awesome.  The regular stores like American Eagle, Aeropostale, and the other stores I shop at just don't work with my large chest and small waste.  The stores I have found that work with Large Chested while breastfeeding are, Old Navy, you can find clothes that are a little looser but still flattering.  The other store that I love is Forever 21, this store also has clothes that are loose fitting and flattering.  Most other stores just don't work but I would recommend keeping your maternity shirts if you can and wear them while breastfeeding if like me your big on top and small around the waste.

Breast Pumps

So when I started looking at breast pumps I was a little nervous to spend the $300 on something I will only use for a year and what if I have a hard time breast feeding like I did with my first daughter.  So as I researched them all and read reviews I ended up getting the Lansinoh double breast pump.  I found it at Target for $150, then I found a 10% off coupon for it, and was given $70 worth of gift certificates to Target, I ended up paying $65 for it.  I have been using it now for the last two months and it is wonderful for a stay at home mom, I can plug it in or take it in the car with the plug (only if you have a plug outlet in your car) but you can also put 4 AA batteries in it and use it in the car.  I can say from having a more expensive one for my first daughter it may not be as powerful feeling but it still does the job and the noise well they all make noise so it will be slightly loud but it doesn't bother me.  My oldest daughter says I look like a cow being milked and that it looks funny, then she proceeded to tell me that she doesn't want to grow up cause she doesn't want to look like a cow being milked, LOL.

I LOVE THIS PUMP!!!  Also they have a load of stuff that you can also buy to help with the storage, pads, creams, and much more.  I bought the reusable pads from Lansinoh, which are amazing and I can wash them and not waste the material throwing them away.  Now, they are a little thicker so if you are wearing something tight or able to see outlines of things you might want to buy the thin disposable pads to go out in but I love these reusable ones.  I also purchased from Target the Medela soft shells for sore nipples and they do the job.  I had a yeast infection on my left breast, which you can get, and the shells helped it go away so fast that I could begin feeding my little one again from the breast instead of pumping from it all the time.
